FAQ:
1. What is CBT-I Insomnia Treatment?
It is the “Cognitive Behavior Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I)”. It is considered the most effective treatment for chronic insomnia. In four to six sessions, plus an intake, you can learn how to work with your body system to help you fall asleep, stay asleep, improve sleep quality, and, for many people, stop using sleeping pills. It is an evidence-based insomnia care. This method is used to treat people who have chronic insomnia and need treatment to sleep and/or manage their sleep better. First, you will need to fill out questionnaires online to see if this program is right for you. Not all patients with a sleep complaint have chronic insomnia, and not all people with chronic insomnia are good candidates for CBT-I. Thus, you will need to answer some questions before we can schedule you for an INTAKE and do the treatment. Thus, it would save you time by eliminating the need for an INTAKE Assessment and its associated costs. It has four sessions and the INTAKE Assessment. Second, once you are qualified for the treatment, you will need to log your sleep time/routine for 2 weeks before your INTAKE Appointment. Don’t worry, we will guide you through logging your routines. Third, after our one-hour clinical Intake Assessment (via televideo/telehealth), we will meet every two weeks (via Televideo/Telehealth) for a total of 4 to 6 sessions, plus an Initial Intake. Studies have shown that the results are the same whether the sessions are provided via in-person or telehealth/video. You can meet your clinician from your desktop, laptop, tablet, or mobile device (iOS or Android); we will provide you with a secure, HIPAA-compliant link to log on at your appointment time.
2. Does Insurance Pay for this Treatment?
Our practice does not accept insurance for this treatment program. You will need to pay out of pocket. You are responsible for the out-of-pocket costs for this treatment. We will collect payment from you for each service. If you have an FSA or HSA, you can use this to pay for treatment. We will not bill Medicare, and Medicare will not pay for the services you receive. If you are a Medicare patient, we will provide you with a private contract describing our fees and confirming that you understand that you are responsible for the full cost of your care and that Medicare will not reimburse you.
3. Treatment Fees:
- Intake Assessment (60 minutes): $350.00
- Individual Treatment Session (45 minutes): $250
